Sovereign Birth is a physiological, biological, undisturbed, spontaneous birth that unfolds without the outsourcing of medical, institutionalized professionals. Sovereign birth is reclamation of radical responsibility and a rooted trust in God’s design and authority in birth.

About Me
Hi friend! I’m Abigail Emunah — sovereign birth coach, sacred spaced holder, experienced freebirther, graduate of Matribirth Mentor Institute, mama of two wonder-filled and wonderful boys, and a faithful woman with a deep trust in physiological birth. It has been in my weakest moments that God has been the most powerful in my life, and by His grace I am clothed with strength and dignity, and can laugh at the days to come (Proverbs 31:25).
My journey into birth work began with my first pregnancy, when I knew whole-heartedly that I didn’t want to give birth in a hospital. At that time in my life, I had no knowledge of sovereign, physiological birth and my pregnancy journey concluded with a traumatic homebirth experience with institutionalized midwives during the surprise breech birth of my first son.
Integrating all that happened during that birth took years of unpacking, healing, and reckoning. Ultimately, it lit the fire for the work I do now: supporting women in sovereign birth and holding sacred space to witness and alchemize birth stories or pregnancy losses that left wounds or confusion.
When I became pregnant with my second son, it was God's will for me to have an undisturbed, physiological birth, and in doing so, I reclaimed my faith and remembered the sacredness of biological, Spirit-led birth.
I believe healing is biological and spiritual. The body knows what to do and God is faithful in His divine design. Time and time again, I have been amazed to see my prayers answered when my body is miraculously healed, praise to God.
My spiritual gifts that I have been blessed with to use to serve are the gifts of FAITH, MIRACLES, HEALING, AND PROPHECY. I have come to understand how I was created for this work.
I am deeply drawn to the ocean and its waves, a lover of movement and sacred stillness, a woman who feels most alive when I’m walking through the woods, basking in the sunshine, lifting something heavy, belly-laughing with my family and friends, reading God's word, dancing to a heart-beat drum worship song, or connecting with my Creator.
I live in Charlotte, North Carolina with my beloved husband whom I have experienced lifetimes with for 20 years, our two sons, an enthusiastic boxer dog, and a bombay cat who thinks he’s a panther.

Book a coaching session with an experienced freebirther, a graduate of Matribirth Mentor Institute, and a faithful woman who fully trust in God's design of birth. In this one-hour session, I will lovingly support your sovereign birth in full faith, trust, and freedom.
We will work through concepts such as nervous partners and family members; boundary setting; the "what if's", worries, and fears of sovereign birth; the hormonal blueprint of physiological birth; healing from previous births if applicable; the logistical run-of-show for your birth, and any other topics that want to be seen and heard in our sacred container.

Pregnancy Loss
Support and Integration
No matter when the loss happens during a woman's pregnancy, the grief that a mother must allow to process cannot be overlooked or pushed aside before true healing can occur.
Your bereavement story matters, deserves reverence, and needs to be seen and heard. I want to hear it all - leave no stone unturned, no tear unshed, nothing unvocalized that wants to be witnessed.
Together we will speak prayers over your baby in heaven, you and your earth-side family, celebrate your baby and call him/her by their name.
God has good plans for you and I am here to remind you of that.
